THE CHARACTER

Character Name: Mipha
Series: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Canon Point: After Link's beaten all the Divine Beasts, but before directly engaging Calamity Ganon.
Character Age: At least 18 as she's stated to be around the same age/a little older than Zelda and Link (who are canonly 17).
Background: Jazz hands

Personality: Mipha is described by her family and her fellow Zora as essentially being the light of their world and beloved by all that met her. There was great celebration upon her birth and a special trident made for her, and upon her death the Zora mourned her loss so greatly they dedicated an entire festival to her. While some might assume this meant Mipha grew up spoiled or something, she was, in fact, very humble, sweet, and rather shy.

Rather introverted, but kind, Mipha made use of her unique abilities, healing injuries for all regardless of race, and forging friendships despite them too. Being a princess meant she grew up being taught all the manners and lessons on diplomacy one might need; she carries herself with relative ease among the other champions and seems comfortable with them, though she's quiet. She doesn't often feel a need to speak out, being rather shy, but she won't allow her shyness to hold her back from doing what must be done or peaking up about something that must be said. This can be seen particularly in the scene when Zelda returns from the fountain of Wisdom and Mipha attempts, in a mildly stumbling way, to give advice before Calamity Ganon attacks and interrupts her.

She was also taught to expertly wield a spear/trident in battle and was a warrior with few equals-- Despite this, Zelda has expresses surprise that Mipha was so strong-willed and had the easiest time controlling her divine beast, because she seemed to be so fragile. Also despite that, Mipha isn't one to resort to violence first thing. She doesn't like fighting or violence much, though she views it as an unfortunate necessity in life that she has to partake in, but she's more likely to try talking first and stabbing second.

Circling back round to Mipha being strong-willed, she's also shows an impressive amount of endurance, as she waited 100 years trapped inside her divine beast before her hope of 'rescue' (for a given definition of 'rescue' since her physical body was long gone) began to wane. In a way this could also be viewed as a quiet stubbornness and refusal to back down; when all hope seems lost, Mipha will endure.

Mainly Mipha is remembered for her gentle, loving nature and her willingness and desire to help everyone. She loved--and probably still loves--Link very much, having secretly worked on creating a special Zora Armor for him with the intention of proposing to him with it. She's also shown to be fiercely loyal and protective of the people she cares about, telling Link in a memory: "But know this: that no matter how difficult this battle might get. If you-if anyone ever tries to do you harm... Then I will heal you. No matter when, or how bad the wound... I hope you know that I will always protect you." She makes good on this vow even after death by bestowing Link with Mipha's Grace, which will heal and revive him, making sure she's always protecting him.
Powers/Abilities: Mipha has the unique ability to heal people of most, if not all, injuries. 'Mipha's Grace' can also revive someone from death, potentially if the death has just happened.

Power Nerfs (if applicable): Since obviously reviving someone from death could be a bit breaking in and of itself, I can provide three possible ways of going about limiting/nerfing it:

1. She can only revive someone within a set time after their death (say within 2 minutes)
2. She can only revive one person a day (in game it takes a good half hour before Mipha's able to revive Link again should he die)
3. We can get rid of this part of her healing entirely if neither of the above works, because having her able to revive someone from death isn't nearly as important to me as her keeping her other general healing ability.

Inventory: - Her jewelry
- The blue cloth she wears
- Her lightscale trident, if possible! It has no special powers it's just a trident.

Incentives: Mipha would be most motivated by a desire to help. She wants to help other planets and worlds avoid the same fate as her own, and would work with the Orbiters to help ensure that safety. Also if they could bring back to life the other champions, and promise the safety of her brother and father, she'd be more than happy to help! (Provided a Link isn't apped in right away in this first round, as long as he's safe she'd be willing to cooperate for his safety as well)
